Actor best known as Pauline Fowler in the soap, East Enders, and as Miss Brahms in Are You Being Served?, alongside John Inman. She also had a number 1 hit in 1962 with Mike Sarne, Come Outside, one of the first comedy hits.
Born Middlesbrough. Died London.
Odd fact: The name Wendy was practically unknown until J.M.Barrie used it for the Darling's little girl in Peter Pan.
