William Davidge

William Davidge

Chairman of the Chelsea Vestry Hall Building Committee in 1885.

On 1 January 1954 the Westminster & Pimlico News reported on "Chelsea Vestry, Last meeting of the Board ..... There were also present Mr. William Davidge (a former member who now resides at Parsons Green)." We think the Vestry became a Metropolitan Borough in 1900 so this meeting surely took place in 1899.
