Born Dublin to a wealthy Anglo-Irish family. Opposed to war with America and during his 7 months as Prime Minister he granted independence to the American Colonies. George III called him "the Jesuit of Berkley Square" due to his idealism. Completed the construction of Lansdowne House and died there.
