This memorial stone was laid by Alexander MacLaren DD, Litt.D. President of the Baptist Union, 1875-6 and 1901-2, on Wednesday 24th April 1901.
This is a foundation stone for the building.

The listed buildings (2 - 6) was built in 1901-1903. by Arthur Keen, architect for the Baptist Union and restored in 1946.
