This apricot tree (Prunus armeniaca) serves as a memorial to the one and a half million victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide.

2009-10 there were ructions at Ealing Council as Armenian factions promoted the creation of this memorial and Turkish factions opposed. has some photos of the dedication ceremony. The tree was planted in April 2010 but the plaque came later, in April 2011.
