Norfolk House stands on the site of Biggott House, the town house of the Earls and Dukes of Norfolk from the middle of the thirteenth century until 1541.

The plaque is actually located over a gateway in Boltons Place.
We think it likely that Kemp-Welch, a local worthy, attended the church and made a contribution to the costs of this building.
