These gates were given by the St Olave's & St Saviour's Grammar School Foundation on the centenary of St Olave's & St Saviour's Girls School.
AD 2003

Note that the plaque refers to a foundation and a girls school, the former funding the later. The school is some distance from the Cathedral but the foundation will have a historical connection.
