Plaque

Dalston Methodist Church

Inscription

Dalston Methodist Mission Church Hall
To the glory of God this stone was laid by Mrs Robinson Whittaker, 26th September 1953.
H. M. Lidbetter - Architects
E. A. Roome & Co Ltd - Builders

The texts on the plaques either side of the Whittaker plaque is largely lost. They were painted and only a few shreds remain. The font looks very 1950s and the text seems to provide information such as the time of services and the phone number: Clissold ??00.

Site: Dalston Methodist Church (1 memorial)

E8, Richmond Road

2020: This building is looking rather unloved but it has some nice detailing: the entrance porch and the tiled cross on the steeple.
