Dead Parrot monument

Erection date: 2009

Inscription

{There is no inscription on the monument, apart from the word 'China' on the bird's chest.}

Created by artist John Reardon, in homage to the Monty Python's Flying Circus sketch, although It appears to be a sulphur-crested cockatoo rather than a Norwegian blue. (Norway by the way, is not known as a habitat for parrots, but this website says things might change).
