Denmark Place arson attack

Erection date: 24/11/2022

Inscription

In loving memory of the 37 people from multicultural London who died in an arson attack here on 16th August 1980.

Site: Denmark Place arson attack (1 memorial)

WC1, Denmark Place, The Outernet

This area has been totally redeveloped and we understand that the developers funded this long overdue plaque. On the day we visited a media/entertainment event was in preparation - explaining the barriers. We suspect events of this type are not infrequent.
