{Incised in the main stone body of the monument:}
Erected by many friends in memory of a life of service to others.

{The upper stone back of the monument has an incised inscription which is now badly weather-beaten:}
She served the county borough of West Ham {5 illegible lines} was made honorary freeman in 1936.

Unveiled by Will Thorne MP, as part of the week-long celebrations of the jubilee of the incorporation of the Borough of West Ham.

The low stone stand holding the plaque has been added to the foot of the Kerrison monument, rather ruining its clean, Art Deco, lines.
