Emily Wilding Davison
11th October 1872 - 8th June 1913
It was from this place on 4th June 1913 that suffragette Emily Wilding Davison sustained injuries that resulted in her death at Epsom Cottage Hospital. Her lifelong dedication to women's suffrage and the contribution she made to the lives of British women, past and present, is remembered.

Not an easy plaque to find. Google Street View has a camera line taken from the racecourse itself which . Using this we've managed to put our pin on exactly the right bit of fencing.
