Ford lived here for a few years with his mistress Violet Hunt and at the time the address was according to (who have a 1966 photo of the house), South Lodge, because an astronomer called James South had built an observatory in the house. We think Sir Victor Horsley may have been born here.

The plaques about the clock are at about shoulder height on the wall below the clock. The blue Mallon plaque is on the building to the left.
