Site: Greathead shield at Bank (1 memorial)

EC2, Bank station, pedestrian tunnel between DLR and Waterloo & City line

We must have walked through this arch many times without properly seeing it.  We thank Geoff Marshall of Londonist for enlightening us in one of his gem-like short videos ''.

The plaque is on the ledge below the shield.

There are similar abandoned shields at both ends of the Rotherhithe Tunnel.
