{Around the outside:}
On this site stood the Tudor Palace of Greenwich built by King Henry VII.

{At the centre:}
Birthplace of King Henry VIII in 1491 and his daughters Queen Mary I in 1516 and Queen Elizabeth I in 1533.

The plaque was unveiled to commemorate the 450th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's birth. It is positioned directly above the foundations of the main Palace range.

The Greenwich Palace plaque is laid into the path leading to the statue from the riverside path, about where the man in the stripy top is standing.
