From : "In 1909 the LCC put up a memorial tablet, re-set in 1925 when the old house was rebuilt as part of the Duchess Nursing Home. The present plaque, replacing the broken tablet of 1909, dates from 1963.

Erected between June 2014 and June 2015. Lost between April 2019 and March 2021.
The building is dated 1893 and presumably was named after Blackfriars Priory even though that was on the other side of the river.
