{On a brass plaque attached to the box:}
This post box has been painted gold by Royal Mail to celebrate Mo Farah, Gold Medal winner, London 2012 Olympic Games, Athletics: Track - Men's 5000m.

This is Mo's post box for the 5,000m; he has another one for the 10,000m at 477 London Road, TW7 (still to collect).

Site: Mo Farah gold post box - Teddington (1 memorial)

TW11, Broad Street

Note how the Fara charity shop has entered into the spirit!

We didn't like to say but when we photographed this shortly after the Olympics had finished we thought the paint-job was a little slap-dash, and also there was no plaque on the box (unlike the box for Natasha Baker).  Then, on another visit, we noticed that Mo's box had been, well, boxed in a rough wood. and it's displayed to the world again with a new paint job and a plaque - which Sam Hartley kindly photoed for us.
