Plaque

Morden College

Erection date: 2015

Inscription

The carved brick motif above, inscribed MC 1695, is a mark of ownership of Morden College, the original owner of this building in 1892.

Morden College is a local independent charity founded by Sir John Morden, a merchant and a member of both the Turkey (Levant) Company, and of the East India Company.
FMcL 2015

The 'carved brick motif' is at the very top of the redbrick part of the terrace. We are guessing that 'FMcL' are the initials of the plaque's designer or erector.
