This building is dedicated to the memory of Olive Morris founder of the Brixton Black Women's Group.
This plaque was unveiled by her mother Mrs. Doris Morris on 14th March 1986.
"My heart will always be in Brixton" O.M.

The plaque is just inside the entrance to Olive Morris House.

2019: reported that plans to redevelop the building had raised concerns that Olive Morris might be left with no memorial.

2024: A post in made us aware that the building has been demolished. Its replacement boasts a new plaque to Morris. We must get along there and capture it.
