Site: Prince of Wales Hospital - Tottenham (2 memorials)

N15, Tottenham Green East, 6, Deaconess Court

In our photo the right-hand side of the 1905 plaque is just visible poking out from behind the bow window at the left. The 1884 plaque is the next one along.

The plaques are foundation stones so the dates specify when construction was begun. This suggests that the 1905 stone is for the 1907 extension which tallies with the structure on site.  It also suggests that the 1884 stone is for the 1887 John Morley Wing which seems a bit odd since the stone is on what looks to be not an added wing, but the main building to which extensions have been added, so we'd expect it to have a foundation stone dated shortly before 1881.
