On this site at 17 Bruton Street stood the townhouse of the Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne where Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, later to become Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21 April 1926.
In commemoration of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee Year 2012.

The small plaque is on the left of the porch above the mail box.
The plaque is not very interesting but the brickwork on this building is so attractive that we were glad to find an excuse to include it....
