The Remains of the Roman city wall, constructed around AD 200, and a medieval bastion, are preserved in a chamber beneath this building.

September 2010: there is a small plaque giving visiting hours: 9:00 - 17:00 Mon-Fri and 9:00 - 13:00 on Saturdays, excluding public holidays. The plaques and the entrance to the "chamber" are in the entrance lobby in the corner of this building.
