Relief

RIBA - Sir Christopher Wren

Erection date: 8/11/1934

On the Weymouth Street facade there are 5 figures carved in relief by Copnall. They are unlabelled but one can tell that they represent, left to right: a painter, a sculptor, Sir Christopher Wren (an architect, clearly the most important), an engineer and a labourer. Copnall also did the central figure (Architectural Inspiration) on the Portland Place facade, which you can see him carving in our picture of him.
