Royal Arsenal Co-operative Society - funeral furnishers

Inscription

Each for all and all for each.

Site: Royal Arsenal Co-operative Society - funeral furnishers (1 memorial)

SE18, Powis Street, 136

The plaque is between the 2nd and 3rd floor windows on the greenish building wedged between the impressive Art Deco tower and the traditional redbrick 3-bay Edwardian building.

Despite their massive premises on the other side of the street the Royal Arsenal Co-operative Society built this, 1930–1, for their funeral furnishing business, established in 1923.

This information is from , where we are left with the impression that at one time RACS occupied every building in Powis Street.
