St Josephs War Memorial

Inscription

To the glory of God and in memory of those members of this parish who gave their lives for their king and country. R.I.P. 1914 - 1918.
{Above the text is a decorative circle of stone mosaic with the inscription:}
Jesu xpi passio

The memorial stone slab forms part of the floor of this crucifixion shrine. The eaves bear the date "2000" and the floor does not seem to have been designed with the crucifixion figures in mind, so the history of the construction seems complex.
