This plaque was unveiled by Cllr. Mark Bennett, Mayor of Lambeth, on 23rd July 2013 to commemorate the centenary of the opening of the Rookery Gardens on 23rd July 1913 following a campaign led by Stenton Covington to acquire the site for public use.
