We weren't expecting the investigation into this plaque to turn up anything particularly interesting but go to the page for vicar Birch and you will be surprised.

Photos and comments from c.2011 at show that the building and the plaque have been restored since then. Back then it was ".. used by J. Black, a nut, bolt and fixings merchant, who uses the address 'Grange Hall'..."

The associated church is the one on the other side of the road, St Pauls West Hackney.
