On this site the Rt Hon W.E. Gladstone delivered his last speech to his Greenwich constituents, November 30th 1878.

Gladstone served as Member of Parliament for Greenwich from 1868 to 1878.

The Gladstone plaque can be seen in our photo, just above the railings. The larger,higher, plaque carries the florally decorated initials of the London School Board.
