Christopher Wallace Roome

Christopher Wallace Roome was born in 1937, the son of Alfred Wallace Roome (1908-1997) and Beatrice May Roome née Duffy (1905-1996). His father was involved in cinema film production and was the Film Editor of 14 of the 'Carry On' films, whilst his mother was an actress who, at the suggestion of the film director Alfred Hitchcock, used the stage name of Janice Adair.

His birth was registered in the second quarter of 1937 in the Hendon registration district whilst his sister, Dierdre M. Roome, was born in 1941 in Cockermouth, Cumberland (now Cumbria).

On 18 November 1987 he was travelling home from the City to his flat in Pimlico when he suffered 75% burns in the King's Cross Underground Station fire and died, aged 50 years, in hospital on 27 November 1987. The subsequent described his occupation as a Stockbroker.
