Priest. Born in Heage, Derbyshire. Vicar of St.Michael's, Aspley Heath in Woburn Sands 1884-99, and Rector of St Paul's Covent Garden from 1899 until his death in a WW1 air raid. He was killed standing in a doorway as he was encouraging and consoling other shelterers.
St Paul's Covent Garden seems to have come through both wars unscathed so the doorway can't have been at the church.

It seems very likely that the Rector of St Mary's, Bryanston Square in 1897 was this man. Bishop of Birmingham.
