Died as a result of serving in the Russian War 1854-6. Commissariat Department.
Trying to identify this man we discovered that the children's novelist, George Alfred Henty (1832 – 1902) was educated at Westminster School and when the Crimean War began he had left university and he volunteered for the Army Hospital Commissariat. He resigned from the army as a captain in 1859. We'd guess that George Alfred and Frederick were brothers.
