James Stuart Nicholas Mayes

James Stuart Nicholas Mayes was born on 16 April 1977 the younger of the two children of Bernard J. Mayes and Rosemary S. Mayes née Rampton. His birth was registered in the Hampstead registration district and his elder sister was Rachel Elizabeth Mayes (b.1973).

In the 2003 and 2004 electoral registers he is listed at 89 Friern Barnet Lane, London, N20 0XU, but at the time of his death he was an analyst at the Healthcare Commission - now the Care Quality Commission, living with a friend in Barnsbury, north London. His obituary can be found on the .

He died, aged 28 years, on 7 July 2005 when travelling in the underground tunnel of the Piccadilly Line on the London Underground Railway between King's Cross and Russell Square underground stations that was targeted by a suicide bomber. The narrative verdict of his death can be found on the .
