John Northcott

A graduate working in the IT industry, killed in the Ladbroke Grove rail disaster, aged 24.

Andrew Behan has kindly carried out further research: John Alan L. Northcott was born on 15 September 1975, the son of Leonard G. Northcott and Susan C. Northcott née Hale. His birth was registered in the City of London. He was an Information Technology consultant who had graduated in computer science at Greenwich university in 1998 and was living with his parents in Walthamstow. He died, aged 24 years, on 5 October 1999 when he was travelling to work at Unisys in Slough, Berkshire, in the front carriage of the 8.06am Thames Trains Turbo train from Paddington to Bedwyn, Wiltshire when it collided with the 6.03am First Great Western High Speed Train from Cheltenham Spa, Gloucestershire to Paddington at Ladbroke Grove. At the subsequent inquest his cause of death was given as multiple head injuries.
