Ordinary Seaman Charles E. Castleman

Castleman was aboard 'HMS Blean' when it was hit by two torpedos fired from a German U-boat 11 miles North West of Oran Algeria. The ship sunk in 4 minutes, there were 88 other casualties and 94 survivors were rescued. Castleman is also remembered on the Chatham Naval Memorial in Kent.
