She was employed by the Aon Corporation, an insuraance company, in Bermuda and transferred to their New York, USA, offices on 10 September 2001.

She died the following day, aged 31 years, on 11 September 2001 in the Aon Corporation offices on the 102nd Floor, South Tower, 2 World Trade Centre, Manhattan, New York, USA.
