Simon James Turner

United Kingdom citizen who died in the terrorist attacks in America on 11 September 2001.

Simon James Turner was born on 17 July 1962. He joined the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery and upon leaving the regular army joined the Territorial Army, becoming a member of the Honourable Artillery Company.

In civilian life he was the publishing director in charge of New York operations for the Risk Waters Group. On 3 April 1999 he married Elizabeth Rachel Siddle in Leeds, Yorkshire, and they lived in Muswell Hill, London.

He died, aged 39 years, on 11 September 2001 whilst attending a Risk Waters conference that was being held in the Windows on the World Restauant, Floor 106, North Tower, 1 World Trade Centre, Manhattan, New York, USA.

Their son, William Simon Turner, was born on 14 November 2001.
