Sir Bruce Forsyth

Sir Bruce Forsyth

TV presenter and all-round entertainer. Born Edmonton. Sunday Night at the London Palladium, The Generation Game, Play Your Cards Right, The Price Is Right, Strictly Come Dancing - the shows just keep getting better and better, don't you think?

Bonus fact: Brucie's great-great-great-great grandfather, William, was a founder of the Royal Horticultural Society and the Forsythia plant is named for him (William not Bruce).

He died of bronchial pneumonia, aged 89 years, on 18 August 2017 at his Wentworth Estate home in Virginia Water, Surrey. His ashes were laid to rest beneath the stage at the London Palladium in a private ceremony.

The has some great images of him through his career.
