Plaque

London Palladium Centenary

Erection date: 12/10/2010

Inscription

To commemorate the Centenary of the London Palladium, 26th December 1910 - 2010.

We were alerted to this plaque by The which had a photo (now, 2024, behind a paywall) from the unveiling and : "THE London Palladium celebrated its 100th birthday yesterday with a party hosted by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Bruce Forsyth. .. Bruce ... unveiled a plaque in the theatre’s foyer."

Oddly in February 2014 reported "Neil Sedaka arrives for the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the centenary of the London Palladium theatre." He must have arrived a little late for the party.

W1, Argyll Street, 8

The Vaughan, Grade, Centenary and Crosby plaques are all in the foyer area. The Forsyth plaque is, we understand, under the stage. And the Tommy Steele plaque? When we visited in November 2023 we were told that it is in the bar area, access to which requires a ticket.
