Sir Peirson Frank

Civil engineer. Born Yorkshire as Thomas Peirson Frank. Chief Engineer for London County Council, 1930 - 1946. His secret rapid response unit saved London from drowning during the Blitz many times. The extensive damage to the Thames wall and the flooding risks were, for reasons of morale, downplayed during the war so Frank did not receive the credit he deserved. The .

Oversaw the reconstruction of Waterloo Bridge. Died London. gives year of death as 1952.
