Former nightclub. The name derives from the initials of its predecessor, the Whiskey-A-Go-Go Club. It attracted a multi-racial clientele and regularly had a large number of potential customers queuing down Wardour Street.
2018: Patrick Martin has told us that in the 60's/70's this club and others in London were owned by Thomas Gabriel Mccabe.

Reggae singer. Born Gregory Anthony Isaacs in Kingston, Jamaica. He recorded many successful albums in Jamaica and Britain. Died in Harrow, at the house with the plaque.
Composer.  Born London.  1783 took a composing job at Astley's Amphitheatre.  Went on to compose at Covent Garden and Sadler's Wells theatres amongst others.  Died at home in Marchmont Street.
