Prime Minister of Australia. Born in Pimlico. Migrated to Queensland in 1884. Entered politics in 1894, and served in several ministerial posts before becoming Prime Minister in 1915. Died at Lindfield, New South Wales.

Paint manufacturer who ran the Atlas Dyeworks. Born Newington. 1861 was living in Tulse Hill with his wife. Retired in about 1866 and by 1881 was living in Reigate where he died. See also Nicholson.
