Erection date: 1935
{The inscription is in the white stone band and runs from above the plaque, around the corner, across the top of the fountain, finishing at the next corner.}
The gift of the Pilgrim Trust in commemoration of the jubilee of King George the Fifth 1935.
Below the lion's head roundel are 5 nozzles. We were there on an extremely hot August day and would have welcomed the sound of water. Perhaps the fountain plays when the students are in occupation.

SW1, Little Dean's Yard, Westminster School
Our photo captures a bit of the heavily-graffitied Burlington Arch, on the left.
The fountain seems to have been erected/dedicated twice, once in 1935 for the royal jubilee and again in 1971 to celebrate the long headship of John Carleton. Perhaps in 1971 the pre-existing fountain was modified in some significant way.
Little Dean's Yard is at the centre of the School and is known there as simply "Yard".
