LSE buildings renamed after suffrage campaigners

Inscription

To commemorate 100 years since the first success of the fight for votes for women, these buildings were renamed in honour of leading suffrage campaigners Emmeline Pankhurst, Millicent Fawcett and Emmeline Pethick-Lawrence, on 23 November 2018 by HRH The Countess of Wessex GCVO.

The renaming, reported by , was to celebrate 100 years since women gained the vote, and  describes how central this area was to the sufragette movement.
