Site: Surrey Commercial Docks - relief model (1 memorial)

SE16, Stave Hill

In 1985 the William Curtis Ecological Park was returned to the site owner, the London Docklands Development Corporation, who provided this Stave Hill Ecological Park as a replacement.

The redevelopment of this area in 1984 resulted in this mini-mountain, Stave Hill. Seems that so many buildings were demolished that even after all the docks were filled in there was still a large amount of rubble left over.

Limehouse basin has a similar model.
