Jane L. Simpkin

United Kingdom citizen who died in the terrorist attacks in America on 11 September 2001.

Jane Louise Simpkin was born on 28 March 1965 in Crumpsall, Manchester, Lancashire, the elder daughter of Alan A. Simpkin (1942-1999) and Ann Simpkin née Games (b.1942). Her sister, Helen Clare Simpkin was born in 1966.

She was raised all over the world including Columbia and Iran. From 1980 to 1983 she attended Wayland High School, Massachusetts, USA. Following this she studied at the University of Michigan before transferring to Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts.

She was employed by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, enforcing and collecting royalties.

She died, aged 36 years, on 11 September 2001 whilst as a passenger aboard United Airlines Flight 175 flying from Logan International Airport, Boston, to Los Angeles International Airport, California, when it was hijacked and flown into the South Tower, 2 World Trade Centre, Manhattan, New York, USA.
