Plaque

Tommie Harley

Inscription

This plaque marks the place where the spirit of Tommie Harley, aged 20 years, took leave of him.
24.05.1984 - 23.10.2004.
Goodnight sweet prince, may flights of angels sing you to your rest.

When we visited in 2023, at the base of the pillar were a number of lanterns, stones, angel statuettes, and a plaque that read: "Son, though absent, you are always near. Missed, loved and always dear."

The quotation "Goodnight sweet prince..." is from Shakespeare's play, Hamlet, spoken by Horatio to his dying friend, Hamlet.
